Enola Holmes (Netflix)

 

Enola Holmes.

She is supposed to be the younger sister of Sherlock and Mycroft. She was home schooled and personally raised by their mother Eudoria. When Eudoria suddenly went missing, both Sherlock and Mycroft must act to safe guard the interests of the family. Mycroft quickly acts as Enola's guardian, forcing their sister to go to a finishing school under a strict guidance of a lady school master, whilst Sherlock embarks on the quest of finding their mother being the detective he is.

Enola, a free spirit, embarks on the quest alone and escapes Mycroft. Whilst doing her her escape she came across with a young viscount also escaping his guardians to embark on the dreams of his own on a train. There he was about to be ambushed until Enola helped him escape the killer. They travelled together to London, where they part ways soon after.

The central theme here really is woman empowerment. Enola evokes the fight of women to be independent specially during those point in time.
