Lincoln (2012)

Lincoln movie review & film summary (2012) | Roger Ebert

Steven Spielberg is one of my all-time favorite directors.

Why? Probably because he is one of those directors that make you feel things. Couple that with great actors and you get one fine movie. And this movie isn't just fine. It's probably one of the greats. Focusing mainly to the amendment to abolish slavery, the movie is clearly relevant until this time where oppression and race inequality is still prevalent in modern society.

I had the wife watch it, I watched it the year it was released, didn't realize it was way back 2012. Eight years old. Yikes, where have the times flown. Well anyway re watching it made me realize that I kinda skipped over some details of the film. Being a Spielberg film it has powerful cinematography and great lighting. Daniel Day Lewis is brilliant as always.

It's an inspiring movie where even in great odds stacked against you, you fight for what is right, for what is just and whatever uncertainties you have leave it all there fighting for the better good of humankind.

You are a great one Mr. Spielberg.
